Basic Penne Arrabiata

15 mins healthy & easy Penne Arrabiata.

Recipe:

  • 400 g penne pasta (uncooked)⁣
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil ⁣
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped ⁣
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, chopped⁣
  • 3 Tablespoons tomato paste⁣
  • 1/3 cup of water⁣
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chile flakes ⁣
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning ⁣
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt ⁣
  • 1 teaspoon pepper ⁣
  • 6 leaves fresh basil, finely chopped ⁣
  • Optional: Parmesan, grated for topping ⁣

Method:

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions ⁣
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the garlic, cook for around 2 mins on low-medium heat ⁣
  3. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, water, red Chile flakes, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper⁣
  4. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 mins, remove from heat and add the basil⁣
  5. Drain pasta and add it to the sauce⁣
  6. Top with freshly grated Parmesan and enjoy!
