
15 mins healthy & easy Penne Arrabiata.
Recipe:
- 400 g penne pasta (uncooked)
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 ripe tomatoes, chopped
- 3 Tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/3 cup of water
- 1/2 teaspoon red chile flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 6 leaves fresh basil, finely chopped
- Optional: Parmesan, grated for topping
Method:
- Cook pasta according to package instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the garlic, cook for around 2 mins on low-medium heat
- Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, water, red Chile flakes, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper
- Bring to a boil and cook for 5 mins, remove from heat and add the basil
- Drain pasta and add it to the sauce
- Top with freshly grated Parmesan and enjoy!
